Satellite Imageslake Winnipeg in Quality Water Services Directory

Satellite Images of Lake Winnipeg Provides a series of satellite images showing ice breakup and freezeup, turbidity and plankton distributions on Lake Winnipeg, Canada, plus microphotographs of representative plankton species. The water quality information in the images discussed. The site is operated by Noetix Research of Ottawa, and displays maps created using algorithms that I have developed in cooperation with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. It will be updated with new maps weekly, or as often as cloudfree satellite images are available. The service is funded by the Canadian Space Agency and for the next couple of years at least, is completely free to users.
